Overview
What Conatus is, the idea behind it, and where to go next.
The idea
Every coin on pump.fun pays a small creator fee on each trade. On most coins that money goes to the creator and nothing else happens to it. Conatus gives it one job: staying alive. The fees are kept as energy. When it detects a dangerous dip, a fall of 30 % or more from its highest point of the last 10 minutes, the creature spends part of that energy to buy itself back, and burns what it bought. The deeper the dip, the harder it reacts.
The name is Spinoza's. In the Ethics he says that everything, in so far as it is in itself, endeavours to persist in its own being, and calls that endeavour conatus.
Why this exists
The worst moment for a holder is the fall: a seller leaves, the price drops fast, nobody buys. A coin's own fees are a steady source of buying power that is normally left unused. Conatus puts it where it matters, on the way down.
